About Me

Welcome! I’m glad you’re here.
My journey as a therapist is deeply influenced by my early life experiences, which have shaped my identity and approach to mental health. Born into a large, multicultural family with Sicilian and Indian immigrant parents, I grew up in a vibrant household filled with diverse perspectives and voices. As a triplet in a family of six, I learned early on how to navigate complex dynamics and attune to the emotional states of those around me.
As an attachment-based psychologist, I work relationally, using the relationship we co-create as a safe yet brave space for self-exploration. My approach includes teaching you how to engage in a “here and now process,” which can feel intense but is highly effective in building self-awareness. I strive to mitigate the power imbalance between therapist and client, fostering a culture of consent where you have full agency to decline, redirect, and use our sessions however you need. You are the driver, and I am a passenger riding along.
“I work relationally, using the relationship we co-create as a safe yet brave space for self-exploration”
Another strategy I employ is transparency—I often share my thinking around certain questions or topics. While I have expertise, I am never an expert on you; that is your journey, and I am honored to witness it. I also work to connect the mind and body, helping you integrate your words and emotions as they arise. I can teach you how to actually “feel your feelings” rather than just analyzing them, utilizing somatic inquiry and grounding exercises to support emotional regulation and increase your capacity to access the full range of your emotions.
My identity as a woman of color and the daughter of immigrants has profoundly shaped my worldview. I am a feminist, trauma-informed therapist who brings my values into the therapy room. I stand by principles of social justice, and I won’t shy away from addressing systemic oppression. I believe that the struggles we face are not just personal but often a reflection of the world around us. I’m here to help you externalize the narratives of oppression you may have internalized and create a safe space where your authenticity can shine. My work centers on meeting you where you are, supporting you in breaking the cycles of generational trauma, and helping you heal with intention.
“I love fostering growth,
whether it’s in my green space or in the lives of my clients”
Outside of the therapy room, I am also an adjunct professor at the Wright Institute teaching courses on sociocultural issues and multicultural awareness. Additionally, I have a deep passion for houseplants and gardening. I love fostering growth, whether it’s in my green space or in the lives of my clients. Nurturing plants teaches me patience and the beauty of gradual development, reminding me of the potential for healing and transformation.
