WHO I WORK WITH

Individual Therapy - Adults & Children - person with flower head being watered with watering can

Individuals

    • Learn How to Feel Your Feelings: If you tend to think about your emotions instead of feeling them, we’ll work together to help you “process your feelings” by learning how to identify and somatically experience the full range of emotions while developing tools for emotional understanding and regulation.

    • Managing Work Stress and Performance Anxiety: Many of my clients are struggling with perfectionism, imposter syndrome, self-criticism, and navigating high expectations. In therapy I aim to help cultivate a relationship where change, vulnerable exploration, emotional attunement and compassionate understanding can be realized and integrated into one's life.

    • Improved Insight and Self-Compassion: I am here to support you in stepping into a more authentic, empowered, and connected version of yourself.

    • Navigating Cultural Differences: Many of my clients come from immigrant backgrounds. I have expertise in working with bicultural and multiracial/multiethnic clients in navigating the gifts and challenges that cultural differences can bring. If you are struggling with navigating your family role, cultural differences within your family or romantic relationship(s), challenges integrating your multiple identities, or wanting to explore who you are authentically in a safe, supportive and judgement free space, I may be a good fit for your needs.

    • Identity Development: I offer space to explore and integrate your unique identities where you never have to choose one. Additionally, I provide guidance for intercultural couples in supporting their multiracial/ethnic child’s identity development.

    • Relational Conflict: I offer support for folks navigating family conflict, dysfunctional/unhealthy relationship patterns, divorce, break ups, and marital conflict.

    • Attachment Challenges: I specialized in attachment-based therapy supporting folks who struggle with forming and sustaining the relationships they yearn for. Maybe you’ve determined you have an “anxious, avoidant, or even disorganized attachment style”, in therapy, we’ll explore the patterns that are keeping you stuck and disconnected. You will learn how to foster more secure connections to others as well as yourself.

    • Support for Professionals: I work with a variety of professionals, (doctors, lawyers, consultants, tech workers, and entrepreneurs) supporting them with developing the tools to manage overwhelming work demands, toxic work environments, as well as balancing their professional/personal needs and goals.

    • Questioning Career Path: Many of my clients come to me after taking medical leave for burn out and chronic stress. They are questioning if they can continue on their professional path at the expense of their physical and mental health and if there is a better way. They are needing a space to process/understand what contributed to their burn out as well as how to prevent it. I offer a safe and judgement free space to bravely explore and assess your work life balance and identify what may not be working anymore. My goal is to support you in getting clear on your professional and personal needs and make the necessary changes for a more sustainable and fulfilling life.

    • Recovery Plans and Self-Care: Together, we will look at areas of possible change while offering you a supportive space to explore and address the real challenges and limitations that may exist and how to cope more effectively. I will support you in developing self-care routines that support burn out recovery as well stress management. My goal is to support you in making professional/personal decisions that are rooted in your values and not your fears.

Therapy for Families & Children - two people with flower heads joining together

Families & Children

  • In my practice, I specialize in attachment-based therapy and family systems work, focusing on fostering healthier relationships within families. My approach is designed for families seeking to enhance emotional expression, improve parenting skills, and better support their children's social-emotional development.

Family Therapy can include individual therapy with the child and or caregiver/parents or the whole family (caregivers/parents, child and siblings) depending on what is needed.

    • Healthy Emotional Expression: We will work together to create an environment where all family members feel safe expressing their emotions. This openness encourages understanding and connection.

    • Improved Parenting Skills: I’ll guide you in setting appropriate boundaries and limits while fostering a nurturing atmosphere. This helps create a framework for your children to thrive.

    • Support for Children’s Mental Health: Many children face challenges like anxiety and depression. Together, we’ll develop strategies to support their emotional well-being and resilience.

    • Emotional Attunement: I’ll assist caregivers in enhancing their ability to attune to their children's emotional needs, promoting secure attachments and healthier relationships.

    • Focus on Social-Emotional Development: By addressing both individual and family dynamics, we’ll work on skills that support your child’s social-emotional growth, preparing them for success in relationships both now and in the future.

Through this collaborative process, families can cultivate a deeper understanding of one another, leading to stronger bonds and a more harmonious home environment. If you’re ready to explore these changes together, I’m here to help.

  • I support siblings in reconnecting and navigating the complexities of adult relationships.

Repair and Rebuild: I provide family therapy to siblings who are wanting to improve their relationships with one another. I offer a supportive, collaborative, and structured space to support family members in  learning how to engage differently. I provide a combination of practical communication skills, boundary setting, and socio-emotional coaching to support family members in developing healthier and more effective interpersonal dynamics that can support family members in being able to acknowledge and forgive past harms, learn how to see and validate each other, and build safer and more trusting relationships.

My goal is to help you create meaningful change, whether it’s in your relationship with your partner, child, sibling, or yourself.
